FOCUS AND SCOPE
Wasatha: Jurnal Studi Islam dan Humaniora is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship in Islamic studies and the humanities. The journal provides a dynamic forum for the dissemination of original research, theoretical discussions, and critical reviews that explore emerging concepts, best practices, and transformative ideas within the fields of Islamic thought, education, culture, and society.
The journal is founded and initiated by a consortium of distinguished Islamic studies scholars affiliated with the Lembaga Penelitian Dayah (Dayah Research Institute). It serves as a platform for academics, educators, lecturers, researchers, and practitioners to share innovative perspectives and practical insights relevant to contemporary Muslim societies.
Wasatha specifically welcomes contributions in the following areas:
1. Islamic Thought and Theology – Critical studies of Islamic doctrines, philosophical foundations, and theological discourses.
2. Islamic Education – Pedagogical innovations, curriculum development, and best practices in Islamic educational institutions.
3. Islam and Humanities – Intersections between Islamic studies and disciplines such as philosophy, history, literature, anthropology, and sociology.

5. Islamic Law and Ethics – Jurisprudential studies (fiqh), ethical frameworks, and their applications in modern life.
