Peran Ulama dan Umara dalam Penguatan Aqidah Masyarakat

Abstract

This study focuses on the Role of Ulama and Umara in Strengthening Community Aqidah. This study aims to determine the role of the ulama in strengthening the aqeedah of the Krueng Sabee community, to determine the role of umara (leaders) in strengthening the aqeedah of the Krueng Sabee community, and to find out the opportunities and challenges in improving the aqeedah of the community. This study is a field study using qualitative methods. Data collection was carried out by interviews and documentation in the Krueng Sabee District, Aceh Jaya Regency. The results of the study show that the role of the ulema in strengthening the aqidah of the Krueng Sabee community is very large, where the cleric acts as a guide (mursyid) for the ummah so that the community has the correct aqidah with ahlusshunnah wal jamaah, the ulema also plays a role as a pillar of community life, the cleric also maintains the purity and sanctity of aqidah community, the ulema also play a role in increasing morality and reducing the number of social diseases in society, as well as the ulema being a unifying vessel for the ummah. Apart from that, the role of the umara (leader) is also very large, where through activities carried out such as recitation of monotheistic tasawuf, rateb siribee, strengthening the TPA, providing incentives to imum mosques through the Sharia Service, umara can play a role in increasing the awareness of the people and increasing the knowledge of the people and most importantly strengthening the community's aqeedah towards faith in Allah.
